(GMAW) Pulsed Spray Transfer

Pulse spray transfer gas metal arc welding (GMAW) is a versatile welding process but managers don't want to spend time training their welders. Knight School of Welding can help!!!

 

In simple terms, pulsed MIG is a non-contact transfer method between the electrode and the weldment. This means that at no time does the electrode ever touch the puddle. Resulting in a high deposition rate.

 

The pulsed MIG training at Knight School of Welding works by forming one droplet of molten metal at the end of the electrode per pulse. Then, just the right amount of current is added to push that one droplet across the arc and into the puddle. The transfer of these droplets occurs through the arc, one droplet per pulse. This method of welding can be common in production, and/or when working with extremely thin or thick metals.
